Mammoth Lakes is located at the base of the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountain range in Eastern California, and is the home of Mammoth Mountain- one of the biggest ski resorts in the United States featuring 3,500 skiable acres. Mammoth Lakes and surrounding Mono County are also a front row seat to a massive volcanic caldera, and signs that a violent past created the tallest mountain range in the continental United States are everywhere, such as the split-in-half peaks above Convict Lake.
Mammoth Lakes is an X-Games kind of place, with downhill mountain biking on Mammoth Mountain’s trails in the summer and skiing or snowboarding the thousands of acres of deep fluffy powder in the winter. There is the huge Volcom Brothers skate park right in town, the Lakes Basin area that is perfect for paddle boarding or hiking, not to mention the trails up and along the base of the Sherwin Range and Mammoth Rock for a challenging morning jog.
This tour also includes some extremely fragile places such as Devil’s Postpile National Monument, Rainbow Falls, Bodie Ghost Town, Hot Creek Preserve, Mono Lake, and Mammoth Rock among others. Additionally we will be adding a winter segment to the tour in December. This tour will be featured as part of a RegalEarth Mapping system on the Mammoth Lakes Tourism website at: http:// www.visitmammoth.com

Devil's Thumb Ranch is the premiere Nordic Center for cross-country skiing in Colorado, featuring more than 100km of groomed trails on over 5,000 wild acres that include the beautiful and private Ranch Creek Valley, and many of the trails are lit for night skiing. Situated at the base of the Continental Divide, Devil's Thumb Ranch features immaculate lodging options with a thoughtful collection of artwork and rugs complementing the natural wood doors, hand textured lodgepole pine beams, and marvelous stonework throughout the Lodge, Cabins, and Spa. Devil's Thumb Ranch practices green efforts across the property such as using beetle-kill wood from standing-dead forests and rocks recovered from landslides in the construction of the Ranch. These efforts add to its handmade rustic charm. Dining options include Heck's- which is modeled after the Timberline Lodge in Oregon and the Ranch House Restaurant & Saloon. Both have warm environments and use locally grown (when possible) organic vegetables and humanely raised meats, with seafood flown in daily. Some menu items include Venison, Bison, Elk, Pheasant, Halibut, Duck, and everything is prepared to perfection. With the extensive Ranch Creek Spa on site, no day of skiing, snowshoeing, or skijoring with your dog must go unrewarded without a visit. Devil's Thumb Ranch is 10 minutes away from the mogul pocked face of Winter Park Ski Area, and just over an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park to the North and Denver to the East.

Rising up from the Pacific Ocean just south of Pismo Beach, California is the Oceano Dunes District, a vast area of constantly moving sand dunes that are a recreation ground zero for several extreme beach and off-road sports. Many of the dune areas such as Pismo Dunes State Preserve are environmentally protected and off-limits to recreational use. For the parts that are open to off-road vehicles, there may not be anything like this anywhere else. Camping is allowed at the California State Park, and visitors often ride all through the night on the tall dunes overlooking the ocean- visibility permitting. The gentle crescent shaped beach with its wild waves coming in to the long sandy beach dunes are a magnet for kite-surfers, jet skiers and other watercraft sports enthusiasts, and it looks like everyone's dogs are having a great time too. ATV rentals are available at the entrances to the park, and keep an eye out for some of the amazing dune buggies that rumble past from time to time. Regal reminds you to be safe and learn the rules before playing in the dunes, but chalk this one up as a 'must-do'.

Bardenay Restaurant, Bar, and Distillery has three prominent locations in Boise, Eagle, and Coeur d'Alene, and offers a vast array of signature cocktails using their own distilled spirits and Pacific Northwest inspired cuisine with staples such as the fantastic Salmon skewers and Pacific Cod Fish and Chips. Featured once on Modern Marvels, Bardenay has the distinction of being the first restaurant in the U.S. to distill spirits within a restaurant or bar, and the Stills are a prominent feature at each location. Each location has tremendous aesthetic appeal in the wood, brick, and stone textures that surround you from floor to ceiling, and the staff are well educated in pairing one of the wines or microbrews from the vast selection at each location with the unique offerings on the menu. So if it be lunch, drinks and appetizers, or dinner, Bardenay has all four corners of your palate covered and a great scene to go with it.

At the heart of California's central coast is San Luis Obispo County. Starting with an extensive stretch of diverse and beautiful beaches to the west, to the rolling hills featuring scores of wineries and vineyards nestled into the valleys heading east, to the deserts and prairies on the eastern edge of the county, San Luis Obispo County offers a slice of paradise to visitors, and the winecoastcountry.com virtual tour is certain to prove it. San Luis Obispo County features several quaint and charming villages and towns along the coast and in the valleys in addition to the wonderful city of San Luis Obispo. Near the northern tip of the county is Ragged Point at the beginning of the Big Sur Highway, a stretch of road everyone should travel at least once. Below Ragged Point is the Elephant Seals area, and of course our favorite place, Hearst Castle. The tour also includes the towns of Cambria, Cayucos, Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, Atascadero, and Paso Robles, as well as many of the piers across the county, the Oceano Dunes area, Lopez Lake, Morro Rock, Montana de Oro State Park, and a shot in the Edna Valley wine region. This virtual tour uses a new type of navigation in the form of an 'Information Box' in the upper left corner, allowing you to move between the 32 featured locations. Created for the San Luis Obispo County CBID, it is the next stage in destination marketing for a region, and reflects Regal 360's movement into regional virtual tours. You can't put your feet in the water, and you can't taste the wine, but this virtual tour will get you as close as you will get until you travel there yourself and soak in the fantastic lifestyle of San Luis Obispo County. Created for the San Luis Obispo County CBID, and in association with Riester and Verdin Marketing.
