The National Old Time Fiddlers' Contest & Festival is held during the third week of June in Weiser, Idaho. We welcome you to the very special Ten Boom Virtual Tour. The Ten Boom Museum is located in Haarlem, Holland just west of Amsterdam. The Ten Boom family worked in the Dutch Underground during World War II, and built a 'hiding place' within their home to conceal the presence of Jews and members of the Dutch Underground from the Nazi's. The Gestapo eventually undermined their operation and raided the house, netting the family and several of their associates, and sent them into the concentration camps system. Many of the family members, including the family patriarch, Casper, and his daughter Betsie perished. The third member of the family living in the home, Corrie ten Boom, survived movements through different camps including Ravensbruk, and after the war became a renowned traveling evangelist. She was also a novelist, with several books credited to her.
This extensive Ten Boom Virtual Tour has been over a year in the making, and includes some unprecedented features, such as a narrative through the tour complemented by orchestrations and sound effects. It is available in 13 different languages, including English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew. There are multiple navigation methods implemented, including a 'walk-through' with animated arrows on the ground and in the navigation bar, as well a 'map-based' with a 3D floor plan of the Ten Boom house with clickable location points. We have also created and included a featurette of the acclaimed movie "The Hiding Place" in the tour, as well as almost 50 clickable points throughout the tour, giving you the opportunity to see photographs and read context captions about their content.
This Ten Boom Virtual Tour will give you the opportunity to go throughout the Beje, which is the name of the Ten Boom house. This tour also includes shots around and inside St. Bavo's Cathedral, a 14th century icon located in the center town square, and a shot along one of the beautiful canals in Haarlem.
So no matter where you are in the world, select your language and enjoy the story of the Ten Boom family!
Please note: Regal 360 works with individuals and groups from all areas of life, perspectives, belief systems, and political affiliations. We respect everyone's differences and adhere to the motto of "Unity in Diversity'. The Modern Hotel sits in the heart of Boise's downtown Linen District. Converted from a 1950's Travelodge into a hip and artistic boutique motel, the Modern is a hive of artistic musings and the Modern Bar a popular spot to discuss an upcoming gig, plan a film project, or contemplate the aesthetics of a recently attended art show over a nice collection of cold beverages and food. The Modern hosts several art shows and events throughout the year, such as Modern Art in which the rooms are taken over by artists and converted into creations of art. So if you're looking to step outside the ordinary, make a reservation at the Modern, and don't forget your stretched canvas, acoustic guitar, and spirited imagination.
