The National Old Time Fiddlers' Contest & Festival is held during the third week of June in Weiser, Idaho. Born of a fiddling tradition from pioneer days, the Contest and Festival was founded officially in 1953, and certifies fiddling contests in 29 states. This amazing event has become the annual epicenter of fiddling competitions throughout the U.S.. The charming town of Weiser, Idaho is the perfect backdrop to one of the most enchanting events Idaho has to offer.
Weiser, Idaho is transformed into an army of volunteers, with festivals at parks, parade's, and of course... lot's of fiddling. Small jams pop up all across the Contest grounds throughout the day and into the night, changing from a hoedown to a waltz and back again. The contest itself is an intense build-up to the Championship, and the efforts of those involved are remarkable and the talent unprecedented. This was an absolute treat and we could not be more excited to take you into the many intimate settings the The National Old Time Fiddlers' Contest & Festival has to offer. Pull out your calendar, and mark the third full week in June for next year because this event should not be missed.
