Devil's Thumb Ranch is the premiere Nordic Center for cross-country skiing in Colorado, featuring more than 100km of groomed trails on over 5,000 wild acres that include the beautiful and private Ranch Creek Valley, and many of the trails are lit for night skiing. Situated at the base of the Continental Divide, Devil's Thumb Ranch features immaculate lodging options with a thoughtful collection of artwork and rugs complementing the natural wood doors, hand textured lodgepole pine beams, and marvelous stonework throughout the Lodge, Cabins, and Spa. Devil's Thumb Ranch practices green efforts across the property such as using beetle-kill wood from standing-dead forests and rocks recovered from landslides in the construction of the Ranch.  These efforts add to its handmade rustic charm.

Dining options include Heck's- which is modeled after the Timberline Lodge in Oregon and the Ranch House Restaurant & Saloon. Both have warm environments and use locally grown (when possible) organic vegetables and humanely raised meats, with seafood flown in daily. Some menu items include Venison, Bison, Elk, Pheasant, Halibut, Duck, and everything is prepared to perfection. With the extensive Ranch Creek Spa on site, no day of skiing, snowshoeing, or skijoring with your dog must go unrewarded without a visit.

Devil's Thumb Ranch is 10 minutes away from the mogul pocked face of Winter Park Ski Area, and just over an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park to the North and Denver to the East.
